
2011 Mining Rehabilitation Conference
The Australasian Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA) invites all Mining professionals to attend the 2011 Mining Rehabilitation Conference 'The Missing Science of Coal Mining Rehabilitation' to be held from the 20th - 23rd June at Cypress Lakes Resort in the Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia.
The 2011 Conference will include Pre Conference Workshops, Trade Exhibition, two days of Conference Sessions including Keynote and Plenary presentations and a full day Technical Tour.
Delivering effective coal mining rehabilitation is a critical commitment in the social contract between the mining industry and the community. With a significant anti coal mining groundswell evolving at a grass roots level on the back of the debate regarding climate change and dust health impacts - failing to deliver on the industries rehabilitation commitment is something that the industry can ill afford at this time.
