Breaking New Ground – The Best Way Possible!
Three days of Earthworks and Erosion and Sediment Control events
Auckland Council, in collaboration with the International Erosion Control Association and Civil Contractors NZ, invites you to a dynamic and engaging field day dedicated to advancing best practice in erosion and sediment control.

Where:
Pukekohe Showgrounds, 58 Station Road, Pukekohe
Purpose:
To bring together Council staff, practitioners, suppliers and contractors in the earthworks industry to share current best practice and highlight new and innovative products and techniques aimed at minimising the discharge of sediment from earthworks sites.
What to Expect:
- Live demonstrations of best practice erosion and sediment control
- Showcases of the latest tools and techniques from industry suppliers
- Short, targeted presentations reinforcing key themes and innovations
- Opportunities to network and collaborate across the industry
- Who Should Attend:
- Council staff involved in science, regulation, and policy
- Earthworks contractors
- ESC designers and suppliers
Why Attend?
Sharing challenges and how they have been overcome is key to pushing the boundaries of best practice. This is a chance to connect, learn, and lead.
Building strong relationships between Council and the earthworks industry is essential to reducing delays, boosting productivity, and ultimately, protecting our environment.

- GD05 training by Southern Skies (cost applies and registration is essential - numbers are limited)
Tuesday, 2nd September (free to attend)
- 9:30 – 11:00 AM: Workshops on specialist topics (Topics TBC)
- 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM: Field Days Presentations
- 1:00 – 3:00 PM: Exhibitor demonstrations
Wednesday, 3rd September
- Field trip to Penlink, organized by IECA (small cost applies and registration is essential - numbers are limited, further details TBC.)
