Senior Land Management Officer - Darwin (PN17007)
The Northern Territory Department of Environment and Natural Resources is looking for a suitably qualified person to work within the Land Development Coordination Branch in Darwin as the Senior Land Management Officer (PN17007). The position provides quality professional advice to a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders relating to best practice land management, soil conservation and erosion and sediment control planning and implementation and provides advice and technical expertise for the sustainable development of the natural resources of the NT. It is a permanent position and the successful applicant will be required to undertake field work and carry out some out-of-hours work. Applications open 8th February and close 22 February 2018.
The Branch administers the regulatory functions of the Soil Conservation and Land Utilisation Act and the Planning Act in relation to the clearing of native vegetation and development on freehold land; and for providing formal land management advice regarding development administered under other legislation (e.g. Pastoral Land Act, Crown Lands Act and the Environmental Assessment Act).
